Wall Street Firms Pour $110 Million into Crypto Data Provider Kaiko
Wall Street firms are increasingly investing in crypto data provider Kaiko as it expands its funding round to $110 million.
The investment reflects the growing importance of real-time data infrastructure as blockchain and asset tokenization gain traction on Wall Street.
Kaiko plans to use the funds for new products and services, expanding its crypto market data business through the S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices and acquisitions. The company has about 120 employees worldwide and recently acquired US crypto data provider Amberdata and crypto infrastructure firm Cometh.
As tokenization spreads across Wall Street, traditional financial assets are being issued and transferred on blockchain networks. In a market that trades around the clock, infrastructure capable of delivering real-time data for pricing, collateral valuation, and risk management stands to become more critical.
