Wall Street Sees Record Crypto Inflows Amid Resurgent Institutional Demand
Wall Street's interest in cryptocurrency is heating up again, with recent data showing that US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of approximately $854 million for the week ending August 7, the highest weekly figure since mid-April.
This influx of capital has improved market sentiment and indicates that some institutional investors are re-evaluating Bitcoin's value within diversified asset allocations.
Among these inflows, BlackRock's spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) stood out, attracting roughly $693 million in a single week and capturing the lion's share of new capital. Spot ETFs offer advantages such as ease of trading, regulatory compliance, transparency, and integration with traditional account systems, making them a key gateway for institutions entering the crypto market.
