Walmart, Deere Lead US Stocks Higher Amid Earnings Surprises
Major US stocks are making significant moves midday on Tuesday. Walmart (WMT) is up 2.1% after the retail giant reported a higher-than-expected quarterly profit of $5.45 billion.
Deere (DE) is also rising, gaining 3.7%, following its own earnings announcement which showed a significant increase in agricultural and construction equipment sales.
CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD), the cybersecurity company, has seen its stock surge by 4.2% after it reported better-than-expected revenue growth.
In contrast, Moderna Therapeutics (MRNA) is falling, down 5.1%, despite its strong quarterly earnings which exceeded analyst expectations due to a sharp increase in demand for the company's COVID-19 vaccines.
