Warren Slams Trump's 'Scam' Crypto Windfall and $1 Billion Jet Conversion
US Senator Elizabeth Warren has labeled Donald Trump as the 'most corrupt president in American history', citing his lucrative cryptocurrency ventures and other business dealings. The Democrat has been a vocal critic of Trump's activities, including his involvement with the Clarity Act, which she believes fails to prevent him and his family from profiting off cryptocurrency.
The controversy surrounding Trump's Trump Media and Technology Group Corp. (NASDAQ: DJT) has also raised concerns. The company charges between $60,000 and $100,000 per month for early access to posts from 10 prominent Truth Social accounts, including Trump's own. Two media organizations have sued the company over this service.
Warren also expressed alarm about the conversion of a Qatari 747 jet into the new Air Force One, which could cost taxpayers over $1 billion and take several years to complete. She emphasized that 'it's a long, long, long list' of Trump's questionable business activities, including his cryptocurrency ventures.
The White House spokesperson has defended Trump's actions, stating that they are taken in the 'best interest of the American people' and rejecting any suggestions of 'conflict of interest'. However, Warren remains unconvinced, reiterating her assertion that Trump is the most corrupt president in US history.
