Warren Urges Democrats to Focus on Grassroots Power Amid Republican Spending Advantage

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) believes that Democrats can overcome Republican spending advantages and attacks by building a strong grassroots organization. In a recent speech, she acknowledged that Republicans will outspend Democrats but emphasized that they don't need to match the amount of money spent.

'We know we'll be outspent by the Republicans' money machine,' Warren said, 'outspent by the crypto packs and big oil and big pharma and big banks.' However, she argued that Democrats only need enough money to keep their team on the field, funding organizers, phone bankers, door knockers, and other essential voter outreach activities.

Warren urged Democrats to invest in organizing and voter outreach, calling for more door knocking, phone calls, and conversations with neighbors. She also warned that Republican attacks will intensify, with President Donald Trump planning to spend $400 million to $500 million from his political operation to support Republican House and Senate candidates.

Trump's operation has nearly $1 billion available, but he will decide where the money goes. MAGA Inc. had $403.45 million in cash as of July 31 and had spent about $21 million since the start of 2025. Some funds may be saved for future political activity.
