Wealth Managers Eye Crypto Exposure Despite 67% Allocation Gap
Wealth managers are showing interest in cryptocurrencies despite a significant allocation gap, according to an informal poll by Bitwise.
The survey of around 400 wealth managers found that only 32% had allocated crypto to client accounts in 2025, but 42% said they could buy crypto for clients. Furthermore, 60% of the respondents planned to add a crypto allocation within the next year and expected prices to finish 2026 higher than current levels.
The poll results indicate that there is growing interest among wealth managers in cryptocurrencies, with XRP generating the most questions during the Bitwise presentation. The session topics also showed that professional questions extended beyond Bitcoin, addressing Ethereum, Solana, Hyperliquid, stablecoins, and tokenization.
