Wealth Managers Flock to Crypto as 60% Plan Allocations Within a Year
Wealth managers are increasingly interested in crypto exposure, with 60% planning to allocate funds within the next year and an equal share expecting higher prices by the end of 2026. According to a poll of 400 wealth managers, who were presented with information on Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Hyperliquid, stablecoins, tokenization, and regulatory developments, nearly two-thirds (67%) currently have no crypto allocation in place.
Bitwise Head of Research Ryan Rasmussen shared the findings on LinkedIn after presenting alongside Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan. The presentation covered a range of topics, including the potential for digital assets to fit within financial services and investment portfolios.
The poll's results are consistent with broader adviser research, which shows growing exposure to crypto alongside access barriers. A separate survey by Bitwise/VettaFi found that 32% of advisers allocated to crypto in client accounts during 2025, up from 22% in 2024.
