Webull Soars 120% on Earnings Beat and Crypto Boom
Webull's stock is on the rise, reaching its highest level since December 2025 after releasing its recent earnings report. The company's shares jumped to $9.88, up by over 120% from its lowest point this year, bringing its market capitalization to over $4.8 billion.
Webull, often referred to as China's Robinhood, has seen significant growth due in part to substantial trading volume and volatility. The company's fortunes have also been boosted by the surge in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, with the total market capitalization of all tokens reaching over $2.3 trillion.
The company's latest earnings report exceeded consensus estimates, with revenue jumping 51% in the second quarter to $198 million. Its trading business saw a particularly notable increase, with revenue rising by 66% to $147.7 million.
Webull's operating profit surged by 169% to $62.6 million, driven in part by the end of the pattern day trader rule and the subsequent increase in US customers. The company has also expanded its international presence, launching in countries such as Spain, Argentina, and Colombia, and now operates in 18 markets with licenses in 35.
The number of Webull's international funded accounts reached 810k, while its institutional assets under management jumped to $1.5 billion. The company's total customer base stood at 28.2 million as of the end of the second quarter, a 13% increase year-over-year.
