Webull Unveils AI-Powered Trading Platform Integration
Webull has unveiled its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing users to interact with its trading platform through natural language via AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok. This means that instead of navigating menus and filling out order forms, users can tell their AI assistant to check a crypto price, pull up their portfolio, or execute a trade.
The MCP server acts as a bridge between Webull's OpenAPI and popular AI chatbots, letting AI agents access the full suite of OpenAPI functions through plain-language commands. The platform handles the translation from conversational request to API command behind the scenes.
Initially available to all US clients, with international expansion on the roadmap, the MCP server supports crypto market data queries and trading orders with the same integration depth as stocks and options. This is part of Webull's strategic direction in integrating AI into its platform, with the company having already rolled out its Vega Analyst feature for tailored research.
The MCP protocol itself is an open standard designed to let AI models interact with external tools and data sources in a structured way, allowing users to choose between different AI assistants.
