WEEX Puts Users First with Industry-Leading Security Measures
At WEEX, security is not just about protecting assets; it's also about taking responsibility for users. With 8 years of secure operations under its belt, the crypto exchange believes an exchange's responsibility goes beyond providing a trading platform.
The company has established the 1,000 BTC Protection Fund, a dedicated safety mechanism designed to provide potential compensation support for certain eligible losses resulting from qualified security incidents beyond the user's reasonable control. This fund is fully backed by WEEX and strictly separated from operational funds, making it publicly verifiable through blockchain records.
But that's not all, WEEX also maintains a Proof of Reserves system covering major assets, allowing users to independently verify reserve information through publicly available blockchain data. At the time of writing, published reserve ratios include USDT at approximately 102%, ETH at approximately 115%, and BTC at approximately 122%. A reserve ratio above 100% in a specific published snapshot indicates that on-chain assets exceeded corresponding user liabilities for those assets.
WEEX's commitment to security extends beyond transparency and protection mechanisms. The exchange applies multiple layers of security across platform infrastructure and user accounts, including multi-signature cold wallets, two-factor authentication, withdrawal-specific passwords, email and SMS verification, and wallet address whitelisting. These protections work together to give users stronger control over their assets.
