WEMIX is facing another security concern after investigating a potential breach involving its WEMIX$ stablecoin contract. The incident was disclosed on July 26, with no confirmed details yet about the scope or impact of the breach.

WEMIX$ is a stablecoin fully collateralized by USDC and runs on the WEMIX3.0 mainnet, designed to provide predictable transactions for players and protocol users who want to avoid exposure to WEMIX's volatility.

This investigation comes as the platform was already rebuilding trust after an incident in February 2025 where attackers drained approximately 8.65 million WEMIX tokens from the Play Bridge Vault, worth around $6.1 to $6.2 million at the time.
