The blockchain-based gaming platform WEMIX has confirmed a security breach involving its stablecoin contract, resulting in a loss of $6.25 million.

The incident occurred on July 26, 2026, at 18:17 UTC+9, when an unauthorized token issuance and fund transfer took place without permission.

$WEMIX has temporarily suspended its bridges, including Chainlink CCIP and the PLAY Bridge, as well as liquidity pools and trading on specific pairs.

The team is working with exchanges and stablecoin issuers to freeze the attacker's addresses and prevent further losses.
