WEMIX Suffers $724K Stablecoin Hack, Attacker Mints 30k Tokens

WEMIX, a blockchain platform, has suffered a security breach where an attacker took control of its WEMIX$ stablecoin, converting it into 30,736 WEMIX tokens and $724,198.27 in USDC.

The stolen assets were transferred through Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain bridges, then swapped into various cryptocurrencies like ETH and USDT, with some funds deposited into centralized exchanges.

WEMIX is actively tracking the attacker's wallets and has requested asset freezes from exchanges.
