Whale Accumulation Hits $1.2B as BTC Price Range-Bound
Bitcoin whales have been accumulating significant amounts of BTC in recent weeks, adding approximately $1.2 billion worth of Bitcoin since July 29. This trend suggests a recovery in institutional and large-investor demand for the cryptocurrency, which could offset concerns over delays to the Clarity Act.
Data tracked by CoinDesk shows that wallets holding between 10 and 10,000 BTC have added more than 20,000 BTC during this period, with buying occurring while Bitcoin repeatedly traded within a $65,000 range. In contrast, retail investors have been moving in the opposite direction, reducing their holdings.
The accumulation trend aligns with renewed interest from institutional players, as spot Bitcoin ETFs have recorded net inflows during the same period. These flows suggest that large investors are positioning for potential upside, despite regulatory uncertainties.
