Whales Pour $3B into Bitcoin as Analysts Warn of More Pain Ahead
Bitcoin whales have been buying big, with over $3 billion worth of BTC accumulating in the past week alone. According to Santiment Intelligence data cited by analyst Ali Martinez, these large market participants added more than 39,150 BTC to their holdings in just seven days.
This influx of capital signals continued interest from major investors, who are buying up BTC alongside ETF buyers. In the past week, ETF buyers poured over $920 million into cryptocurrency funds, a sign that institutional investors remain bullish on Bitcoin.
However, despite this influx of money, analysts warn that more pain may be ahead for Bitcoin. Rekt Capital argues that BTC's real test begins after its strong weekly close and suggests the cryptocurrency could pull back in the following few weeks if the latest surge is a bear-market relief rally.
Crypto Haris presents an even bleaker picture, predicting a decline to $74,000 before another leg down takes Bitcoin back to the $67,000 region. He believes the cryptocurrency will first fall back to $62,000 before eventually pumping to $90,000.
