WhatsApp Welcomes ADA Payments with ChatterPay Integration
Cardano (ADA) users can now send and receive ADA through WhatsApp thanks to ChatterPay, a user-friendly wallet that simplifies blockchain transactions for non-technical users. The integration brings Cardano payments into one of the world's most widely used messaging platforms, potentially exposing ADA to WhatsApp's massive user base of over 3 billion monthly active users.
ChatterPay, backed by Orion Fund, enables users to send and receive ADA or Circle's USDCx directly through the messaging platform. The wallet creates a Cardano account for users who want to start using it, and they can manage several functions, including sending ADA, purchasing crypto, and checking their balance, all through the WhatsApp bot.
ChatterPay also supports other major blockchain networks, including Bitcoin (BTC), Solana, and Ethereum, positioning itself as a broader gateway for digital-asset transactions. This could make blockchain payments feel more similar to sending a regular message on WhatsApp, potentially lowering the barrier to entry for people unfamiliar with traditional crypto wallets.
