White House Convenes AI Companies Amid Crypto-Adjacent Policy Review
The White House is convening AI companies on Tuesday to review the national AI policy framework, which has implications for crypto markets. The framework, first unveiled in March 2026, focuses on innovation, child safety, cybersecurity, and strengthening the country's tech infrastructure.
Dual portfolio holder David Sacks has been instrumental in pushing the framework forward as both the White House's AI and Crypto Czar before transitioning to co-chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). His role allows policy decisions in one domain to ripple into the other, making it essential for crypto markets to pay attention.
The meeting comes after an executive order issued on June 2, 2026, which introduced a pre-release review process for advanced AI models. The order requires companies to prove their most powerful models won't become attack vectors before shipping them to users.
