White House Meeting Hails Bipartisan Support for CLARITY Act

Share

The White House convened a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the CLARITY Act, a bill aiming to establish legal definitions for digital assets, network tokens, and digital commodities.

Cody Carbone, CEO of The Digital Chamber, attended the session and said that the main takeaway was that the U.S. will not slow down in its goal of becoming the crypto capital of the world.

The discussion centered on the CLARITY Act, which would direct agencies like the SEC and CFTC to regulate the sector without overlapping or contradictory rules.

Bipartisan support for the bill was emphasized, with President Trump indicating he hopes to sign it into law in September. Carbone noted that passage of the bill would provide durability and certainty for builders, issuers, and platforms, as well as stronger consumer protections and disclosures for retail and institutional investors.
