The White House is set to host top executives from the cryptocurrency and prediction market industries next Wednesday. The meeting, which has not been confirmed by the White House, will bring together industry leaders in a bid to push for passage of the Clarity Act, a broad market structure bill currently pending in the Senate.
Details about the final attendee list remain unsettled, but it's likely that executives from traditional finance could also participate. The meeting comes as the crypto industry continues to lobby lawmakers ahead of September's Congressional return after the August recess.
The gathering coincides with a meeting of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's Innovation Advisory Committee on the following day, which includes representatives from crypto, finance, gambling, and prediction market companies.
