WIF Price Volatility: Overbought Token Faces Pullback Ahead of Next Move
The cryptocurrency WIF saw a violent 13% surge in price over the past 24 hours, reaching as high as $0.18 before settling around $0.17. However, despite this increase, several technical indicators suggest that the token is due for a pullback.
One of these indicators is the Relative Strength Index (RSI), which currently stands at 75, indicating an overbought condition. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) histogram has also flatlined at zero, suggesting that momentum is waning. Additionally, open interest dropped by 14% in the same time period, a sign of a short squeeze rather than organic accumulation.
Furthermore, WIF's price is currently trading above its upper Bollinger Band, which sits at $0.16, making it likely to revert to this level in the near future. The SMA 200 at $0.18 also remains an obstacle for the token, as it has not yet reclaimed this level.
Given these technical indicators and the current market conditions, a pullback to the $0.15-$0.16 zone within the next 3-5 days is considered the more probable outcome. This would provide a healthier reset for WIF's price and potentially set the stage for a longer-term rally.
