Wilmington Businessman Leads Nationwide Lawsuit Against Quantum Blocks Capital
A Wilmington businessman and his electric company are leading a class-action lawsuit against cryptocurrency fund Quantum Blocks Capital, LP (QBC), alleging a $60 million fraud.
The lawsuit claims QBC's managers gave a single manager, Clive Smith, 'inadequately supervised' control over millions of dollars in investor assets. Managers Jason A. Williams and Domenico Grillo allegedly solicited investments with promises of 10-20% returns from AI-driven Bitcoin trading program 'Logic'.
Investors claim their funds were routed directly into Smith's hands, without dual authorization or oversight. QBC managers initially blamed a 'know-your-customer' verification issue on exchange Binance before revealing Smith had been stripped of authority in April 2026 and was under FBI investigation.
The lawsuit seeks class-action certification, compensatory and punitive damages, an asset freeze, and a full accounting of remaining funds. QBC has since frozen all redemptions and withdrawals.
