Wintermute Transfers $57M in BTC and SOL to Major Exchanges
Wintermute, an algorithmic trading firm, made significant Bitcoin and SOL transactions on August 23, 2026. The company transferred 169.5 BTC (~$13.11M) and 129.54K SOL (~$12.42M) directly to Binance.
In addition, Wintermute routed another 407.47 BTC (~$31.36M) through intermediaries to Coinbase. This brings the total value of these transactions to $57 million.
The Bitcoin price is currently trading at $77,158.7 inside a bullish structure above the EMA50 ($70,489.36) and EMA200 ($66,093.29). However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI14) is at 76.88, indicating overbought conditions.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) shows a death cross, suggesting a potential retracement towards the 50-EMA support at $70,489.36 before any further price movement.
