Wirex Integrates Tempo Blockchain Tech for Rapid Stablecoin Card Adoption
Wirex, a global stablecoin infrastructure provider and principal member of both Visa and Mastercard, has integrated Tempo's blockchain technology into its platform. This integration allows Wirex's partners to designate Tempo as their preferred settlement layer when launching enterprise-level stablecoin card projects.
The move comes amid Wirex's rapid expansion, with its infrastructure reaching an annualized on-chain transaction volume of $100 million within just 131 days of launch and doubling again in only 110 days. This puts it among the fastest-growing stablecoin card platforms in the industry.
Wirex provides a single integration point for fintech firms and digital platforms, covering regulated issuing, wallets, compliance, and stablecoin settlements. As a principal member of both major card networks, Wirex holds its own licenses to issue cards.
Daniel Rowlands, General Manager of Wirex, stated that this cooperation will provide customers with fast, predictable, and private settlements, while Tempo's consulting and engineering teams help shorten the path from integration to production.
