Wirex Teams Up with Tempo for Fast Stablecoin Card Settlement

Wirex has expanded its stablecoin card settlement options by integrating Tempo's blockchain network. This move gives fintech partners of Tempo, a stablecoin infrastructure provider incubated by Stripe, a new way to settle enterprise card programs.

Tempo is a purpose-built blockchain for stablecoin payments that offers fast and predictable settlement. Its live integration with Wirex lets card issuers select Tempo as their preferred settlement layer.

The integration allows transactions to finalize in under a second, with dedicated capacity and sub-cent fees. Network fees are paid in stablecoins instead of a separate gas token, and structured transaction data keeps funds and settlement information on the same rail for simpler reconciliation.
