Witkoff Rakes In $107M from Trump-Affiliated Crypto Venture Amid Conflict Concerns
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff made nearly $107 million last year from a holding company affiliated with World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency firm he co-founded with President Donald Trump and members of their families. According to financial disclosures obtained by a government watchdog, this sum is in addition to the $526 million reported earnings by Trump himself from the sale of cryptocurrency tokens through World Liberty Financial.
The holding company in question is operated by Witkoff's son, Zach Witkoff, and Trump's three sons. Critics have raised concerns about the appearance of a conflict of interest given their private enterprise's relationship with the Trump administration.
World Liberty has repeatedly dismissed these concerns, stating that Witkoff was in the process of divesting himself from the firm and had no operational role or financial interest in World Liberty Financial deals. However, recent disclosures suggest that this may not be entirely true.
