White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt has urged senators to support advancing the Clarity Act in a procedural vote scheduled for September 15. The bill aims to establish a broader federal regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States.

The Senate is set to hold a cloture vote on the Clarity Act, which will determine whether lawmakers can move forward with debate and consideration of the legislation.

Witt emphasized the need for bipartisan support, saying 'All Senators, Republican and Democrat, should vote on Tuesday to get on the (Clarity) bill and allow the legislative process to continue.'

The Clarity Act would create a federal market-structure framework for digital assets, including rules intended to clarify the respective roles of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
