WLD Price Spike Hits Wall: Analyst Sees Pullback Ahead
The cryptocurrency WLD (World) saw an explosive 15% price surge in just 24 hours to reach $0.46, pushing past its upper Bollinger Band. However, this rapid increase is a warning sign according to technical analysis.
With the Stochastic indicator near 97 and MACD momentum flat, it appears that WLD has reached a point of overextension, where prices tend to snap back rather than sustain their gains. This is further confirmed by the RSI at 68.76, which is edging into danger territory.
On the other hand, the derivatives market shows a contradictory picture. Spot volume on Binance came in solid at roughly $40 million, but open interest dropped 8.44% on the same day as the price spike. This suggests that short positions were being liquidated and long positions trimmed into the increase, rather than new buyers entering with conviction.
Despite this, the technical analysis concludes that a pullback to the $0.42-$0.44 zone is likely, followed by a potential reload towards $0.51 within 2-3 weeks. The bear path, which includes rejection and structural flush, is seen as less probable, with the price potentially dropping to $0.37.
