WLFI Taps Coinbase Alum to Supercharge Stablecoin USD1

World Liberty Financial (WLFI) has hired Ryan Ballantyne as its chief business officer. The former Coinbase executive will oversee WLFI's global business strategy and partnership expansion.

Ballantyne comes from a background in corporate client strategy at Coinbase Institutional, where he led the team. He plans to build on this experience to expand the use cases for WLFI's stablecoin USD1 across various platforms, including centralized exchanges, DeFi protocols, real-world asset platforms, and corporate and institutional partners.

The move aims to increase adoption of the stablecoin and drive its use in various sectors.
