Women's Crypto Participation Lags Behind Wealth Control
Despite controlling an increasingly large share of global wealth, women account for only a quarter of cryptocurrency users globally. By 2030, they are projected to control over $83 trillion in wealth, according to a study by Bitget.
The exchange is addressing the issue through its Crypto Anti-Bias Pledge, which includes education and access, equal opportunity, and zero tolerance for workplace harassment initiatives. To back this pledge, Bitget has launched a $10 million Blockchain4Her program and partnered with UNICEF to provide blockchain education to 1.1 million people by 2027.
The study found that female-led blockchain startups receive approximately 6% of total industry funding, despite broader research suggesting that female founders generate higher returns per dollar invested.
