Cathie Wood, chief executive of ARK Investment Management, sees Bitcoin's recent 47% price drop as a sign that the cryptocurrency market is maturing. Speaking on CNBC's Squawk Box, Wood stated that large drawdowns, like those seen in past cycles, are unlikely to return for Bitcoin. The asset has fallen from its October all-time high of $126,080 to around $67,000.

Wood argued that this decline is a sign of the market's growth and resilience, rather than weakness. She emphasized that Bitcoin is now a 'proven technology' and a 'new asset class,' which she believes will withstand future market fluctuations.

ARK Invest has been actively trading shares in crypto-linked companies, including Coinbase, Robinhood Markets, Block, Circle Internet Group, Bitmine Immersion Technologies, and Bullish. Wood also pointed out that if the price loss holds near 50% of its peak value, the Bitcoin community will view this correction as a 'real victory.'
