Wordle Ties and Technical Troubles: A Glimpse into the Mind of a Puzzle Solver
Today, Forbes contributor Erik Kain faced technical issues that kept him working late into the night, but he managed to solve yesterday's Wordle and share his experience with readers. In his article, Kain included a bonus custom Wordle for extra challenge, which was six letters long and had a hint of being 'like a druid or a medicine man.'
The official Wordle for Monday, August 17, was an organization common to indigenous peoples, starting with two consonants. Kain's starting word was CRIME, which left him with just 16 words and three green boxes. He initially wanted to guess TRIBE but decided to narrow down the possibilities instead.
After using Wordle Bot for analysis, Kain found that he had two possible answers: TRIBE or TRIKE. The competitive Wordle score showed that Kain tied with Wordle Bot, earning each of them 1 point. Their August totals are now Erik: 23 points and Wordle Bot: 3 points.
