World Chain Breaks Blockchain Scaling Barrier with Parallel Verification System
World Chain has introduced a new parallel verification system to tackle blockchain's hardware problem. The company claims its mainnet upgrade can significantly increase throughput without proportionally demanding more powerful validator hardware.
The Ethereum layer-2 network has deployed EIP-7928 block access lists across its mainnet, allowing validators to verify transactions in parallel and start the process before a block is even finished being assembled.
World Chain's internal testnet benchmarking reached throughput of up to 1 gigagas per second on standard cloud infrastructure while validation latency remained stable as throughput increased.
The company's approach breaks the relationship between increasing throughput and verification requirements, which can put pressure on decentralization by requiring specialized hardware to participate.
