World Chain Pioneers Streamed Block Access Lists for Ethereum Layer-2
World Chain has made history by becoming the first layer-2 network to deploy streamed EIP-7928 block access lists on mainnet. This technology allows validators to verify transactions before a block is finalized, increasing throughput without requiring more powerful hardware.
The implementation uses World Chain's Flashblocks architecture, which provides access list data every 200 milliseconds. This enables independent transactions to be verified in parallel as the block is assembled, addressing one of blockchain's biggest scaling challenges.
EIP-7928 is part of Ethereum's longer-term roadmap and is expected to be included in the network's future Glamsterdam upgrade. World Chain has extended the proposal through its Flashblocks architecture, allowing node operators to upgrade without coordinating a network-wide protocol change.
