World Chain, an Ethereum layer-2 network co-founded by Sam Altman, is set to become the first commercial layer-2 blockchain to stream full EIP-7928 Block Access Lists within Flashblocks. This feature will be introduced on its mainnet on August 17.

The upgrade aims to support throughput of up to 1 gigagas per second without more powerful hardware, according to a recent report by The Block. Currently, validators have to re-execute every transaction in a block one by one to verify validity.

EIP-7928 is an Ethereum improvement proposal that focuses on speeding up block validation. It proposes recording all accounts and storage slots accessed during block execution and state differences after execution.
