World Liberty Financial Brings USD1 Stablecoin to Canton Network

World Liberty Financial has launched USD1, its stablecoin, natively on the Canton Network. This move targets institutional settlement for tokenized real-world assets and makes USD1 available through Canton's privacy and permissioning framework.

The integration of USD1 with Canton enables institutions to configure the token for settlement involving real-world assets. World Liberty Financial has stated that USD1 can serve as the cash leg for tokenized asset transactions, supporting uses such as derivatives collateral, institutional lending, cross-border payments, asset issuance, funding, redemptions, and institutional financing.

Canton's native issuance allows cash and asset legs to settle atomically within one transaction. This design limits transaction visibility while maintaining interoperability across applications, targeting settlement timing between digital assets and traditional payment rails.
