Wright Sparks Bitcoin Governance Debate with Immutable Protocol Plea
Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, has reignited the Bitcoin governance debate by advocating for an immutable protocol that cannot be modified. He believes this will ensure network security and allow businesses to invest in Bitcoin with confidence.
According to Wright, the protocol should remain unchanged as it is, with new innovations and value-added services emerging from the platform itself rather than modifying its foundation. He argues that allowing modifications would undermine decentralization and move away from Bitcoin's initial goal of eliminating trust in individuals or committees.
Wright also criticized the hype surrounding Bitcoin investments, claiming that unrealistic expectations have been created due to the rapid returns seen in the past. He notes that even with a significant market capitalization, not all of this value is accessible as cash, and it will be impossible for Bitcoin to sustain such fast returns.
