Wyoming Chooses Chainlink Over LayerZero for Stablecoin Interoperability
Chainlink's CCIP infrastructure has been selected by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission to support cross-chain transfers for its Frontier stablecoin, FRNT. The decision comes after a security review of LayerZero's disclosure practices and operational security.
The Commission plans to retire its existing LayerZero implementation in favor of Chainlink's CCIP, which provides audited software, monitoring systems, built-in risk controls, and decentralized transaction validation.
FRNT currently operates across eight blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Hedera, Optimism, and Polygon. The Commission's decision is seen as a vote of confidence in Chainlink's CCIP infrastructure.
The price of LINK has risen by 3% to $9.67 following the announcement, with momentum readings remaining positive despite some resistance near $10.03-$10.04.
