Wyoming Exceeds GENIUS Act Disclosure Minimum with Chainlink Proof of Reserve
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has integrated Chainlink Proof of Reserve to provide on-chain verification for its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT). This move exceeds the monthly disclosure requirements set by the federal GENIUS Act.
The Network Firm examines FRNT's reserves and token supply under AICPA standards, and the verified data is posted on-chain in near real-time through Chainlink's oracle network. Wyoming aims to close the gaps between formal reports with this combination.
FRNT was launched in January as the first stablecoin issued by a US state. It is backed by US dollars and short-term US Treasuries, with the yield generated by those reserves going to Wyoming's School Foundation Program.
The commission expects the on-chain feed to reflect changes in FRNT's backing as they happen between reporting cycles, rather than waiting for the next scheduled disclosure.
