Wyoming Stable Token Migrates to Chainlink Amid Security Concerns
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has made a significant change to its Frontier Stable Token (FRNT) after a major security breach. The attack on LayerZero in April 2026 resulted in a $292 million loss due to compromised off-chain infrastructure. The Commission found LayerZero's operational and architectural flaws, poor incident disclosure, and weak security controls unsuitable for a government-backed digital asset.
The Frontier Stable Token has been migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for its built-in protections, decentralized oracle network, strong audits, and resilience. This migration is seen as a model for secure regulated asset transfers across blockchains.
