Wyoming Switches FRNT Infrastructure Amid Security Concerns

The state of Wyoming has made a significant move in its crypto endeavors by switching the cross-chain infrastructure for its Solana-based stablecoin, FRNT, from LayerZero to Chainlink.

This change was made after an extensive security review by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, which completed the migration to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).

Under a multiyear agreement, Chainlink CCIP will serve as the exclusive cross-chain infrastructure for FRNT.

This move marks the first publicly disclosed case of a U.S. government entity changing blockchain infrastructure for security reasons.
