X Cracks Down on Crypto Content Farms: Over $250K Stolen in Revenue Scheme
X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has suspended over ten linked crypto accounts after discovering an alleged operation involving content recycling.
The scheme, which spanned more than two years, saw a single operator lifting other creators' content and pulling over $250,000 from X's revenue-sharing program.
Vivek Sen's 270,000-follower account, @Vivek4real_, was among those suspended. Bier, who has played a central role in X's war against spam and low-quality content, reported the case to law enforcement.
The alleged playbook involved downloading and uploading videos and posts produced by journalists and other X users through larger accounts, often after cropping away identifying material.
