X Eyes One-Click Crypto Trading Feature
X, formerly Twitter, is working on adding a one-click cryptocurrency trading feature to its platform. This development comes as part of X's efforts to expand its crypto-related functions.
The new feature would allow users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies directly from the post screen, with a dedicated button linking to actual trading.
Nikita Bier, X's former chief product officer, mentioned that the development status of this feature is still at the pre-deployment stage. The smart cashtag, led by Bier, was a predecessor to this new function and allowed users to specify tokens in posts using ticker symbols or smart contract addresses.
The trading button is seen as an extension of X's push to improve information quality on its platform, which includes blocking spam content and limiting API access to prevent low-quality AI-generated crypto content from spreading.
