XLM Breaks Out, Leaves XRP Lurking at Key Resistance
XLM has broken out of a descending resistance line after weeks of consolidation, while XRP is nearing a similar technical threshold but remains just below it.
The move comes amid regulatory uncertainty, particularly for XRP. Tyler Hill, a market connoisseur, notes that both assets have recently lagged under persistent regulatory uncertainty.
XLM rose about 6.65% over 24 hours to roughly $0.19, while XRP gained about 4.12% and traded near $1.40. This puts them ahead of several major cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum and Solana, which were each up by less than 2% at the time.
Hill's analysis suggests that XLM has cleared descending resistance, indicating that buyers are defending the support zone rather than allowing a deeper sell-off. However, XRP still needs to rise roughly another 2% to move above its own descending resistance line.
