$XRP and Bitcoin Whales Accumulate as Bear Market Shows Signs of Weakening
CryptoQuant's research suggests that whales are accumulating $XRP and Bitcoin as prices sit near their average purchase cost, which may indicate the end of the crypto bear market.
The largest XRP cohorts have been adding supply to their bags while spot order sizes remain in 'big whale' territory. However, 90-day taker cumulative volume delta has drifted to neutral, indicating a calm accumulation phase where investors are holding steady rather than fleeing.
The chart and on-chain data for $XRP show that the token's price is below its 200-day exponential moving average and its relative strength index (RSI) is below 50. This indicates a bearish trend, but with no strong direction or momentum.
CryptoQuant's head of research, Julio Moreno, noted that this positioning lowers downside pressure and is consistent with the final phase of the cycle's decline. However, a daily close back above the 200-day EMA would be required to confirm a turn in the market.
