XRP and XLM Bleed as Institutional Adoption Fails to Lift Prices

Ripple's XRP and Stellar's XLM are two payment networks that have been impacted by the current market downturn, despite their institutional adoption.

XRP is trading at $1.06, down -5% in the past 24 hours, while XLM sits at $0.17, down -4.5%. Despite Mastercard's selection of the XRP Ledger for stablecoin card settlement and MoneyGram's choice of Stellar for its dollar stablecoin corridor, neither coin has caught a meaningful bid.

XRP leads the trio on institutional investment infrastructure, with five dedicated spot exchange-traded funds holding nearly $1Bn in assets; XLM has none. The current price of XRP is right on the session low, which is tactically uncomfortable, and three scenarios frame the near-term path for XRP: a bull case where it reclaims the $1.09, $1.10 range, a base case where it consolidates in a tight $1.05, $1.10 band, or a bear/invalidation scenario where it closes below $1.05 with elevated volume.
