XRP and XRPL Poised for Growth as Traditional Finance Moves onto Blockchain
Uphold's U.S. president, Nancy Beaton, believes that XRP and the XRP Ledger (XRPL) are well-positioned to benefit from the transition of traditional finance onto blockchain technology.
In a video on Ripple's official YouTube channel, Beaton explained that this shift is already underway and that companies like Uphold, Ripple, and other fintech firms will need to work together to make it happen.
Beaton noted that Uphold's API-based technology allows other businesses to use its infrastructure to build and offer financial services, making it useful for banks and financial institutions that want to offer digital assets without building their own blockchain systems.
XRPL is becoming an essential part of the infrastructure supporting financial services moving onto the blockchain. Ripple increasingly focuses on using XRP and XRPL in regulated financial markets with plans including regulated finance, tokenization, cross-chain liquidity, and other financial infrastructure use cases by 2026.
