XRP Breaks Above $1.38 Ahead of Crucial Senate Vote
XRP has already broken above $1.38 ahead of Tuesday's vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, trading near $1.398 at 11:02 UTC.
The Senate is set to consider the bill, but a cloture motion will only determine whether the Senate will move forward with debating it, not if it passes.
Senator Cynthia Lummis's updated text on September 10 addresses some of the market-structure questions, including when decentralized-finance protocols would have to register with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
To reach $1.60, XRP would need a further 14.4% gain from its current price, but this target is not necessarily tied to Tuesday's vote.
