XRP Cards Ranked: Which Offers the Best Rewards and Benefits?
The XRP card market is complex and varied, offering different benefits depending on how users interact with their XRP balance. A new ranking system evaluates cards based on their ability to connect XRP to card spending in a clear and usable way.
There are three main types of XRP cards: those that pay rewards in XRP, those that sell XRP to fund purchases, and those that let users borrow against XRP without selling it. These categories require different considerations when evaluating the benefits and drawbacks of each card.
The ranking system assesses six criteria, including availability and setup friction, XRP role and funding path, real-world spend reliability, XRP reward or benefit value, fees and hidden cost drag, operational convenience and limits, app and controls, security, custody, and freeze risk, support, refunds, and chargebacks, and tax and reporting readiness.
The top-ranked card, the Gemini Credit Card, offers up to 4% back in XRP when XRP is selected as the reward asset. However, it has a capped tier at $300 spend per month and comes with an annual fee. The Uphold Card, on the other hand, allows users to tap their existing XRP balance for payments and offers rewards by plan and funding source.
The Nexo Card is another contender, offering 1% uncapped base cashback with no annual fee. However, it has a daily spend limit of €5,000 and comes with a 0.9% spread on crypto-funded purchases. The Bybit Card, meanwhile, allows users to borrow against XRP without selling it.
The ranking system is designed to help users choose the right XRP card for their needs, taking into account factors such as fees, rewards, and operational convenience. Users should carefully evaluate each option before making a decision.
