XRP investors are facing a wave of fake airdrops, wallet scans, and phishing scams, prompting the XRP Ledger Foundation and RippleX to issue security warnings on social media platform X. The alerts highlight impersonation accounts, fraudulent promotions, and wallet traps designed to obtain sensitive information or trick investors into unsafe actions.

The XRP Ledger Foundation warned investors that fraudulent XRP reward campaigns are spreading through social media as scammers use fake promotions, impersonation accounts, and direct messages to appear legitimate. The organization urged the community to carefully review announcements involving airdrops, giveaways, or wallet activity before taking action.

RippleX also issued a security public service announcement on X, warning investors about phishing attempts and fake giveaway posts appearing across the platform. The alert focused on a fake 'XRP Rewards Scanner' promoted through fabricated screenshots and false claims that investors could recover unclaimed XRP by scanning their wallets.
