XRP Could Hit $100 Trillion as Collateral Demand Drives Price
Market commentator xrpl_Adam says XRP could reach $100 trillion in value if institutions use it as collateral.
The analyst compared XRP to gold, arguing that lasting value comes from being held as collateral rather than constantly exchanged.
Xrpl_Adam pointed out that the often-cited comparison of SWIFT's daily payment volume to XRP's potential value is flawed, saying 'volume doesn't set the price. Idle inventory does.'
He noted that there are approximately 100 billion XRP in existence, with about 32.4 billion held in escrow, leaving around 62 billion tokens available for use.
If XRP were to reach $100, its market cap would be around $10 trillion, while a price of $1,000 would value the network at approximately $100 trillion.
